About Perry

During the past 30 years, I’ve built the career and life of my dreams.

I’ve worked with heads of state. I’ve been a senior executive at two of the world’s largest companies, Unilever and Kraft Foods. I’ve led transformational projects, from supporting the world's largest privatization and economic reform effort, to launching the new $100 bill for the US Treasury, to developing the World Economic Forum’s New (sustainable) Vision for Agriculture. And in doing so, I literally got paid to travel the world, including stints living in Singapore, Moscow and London. I did it all—and had a family too.

Now I’ve parlayed those successes into my new dream – a life that lets me simultaneously lead my own company, coach amazing women, write award-winning books and be a Girl Scout troop leader, a class mom, and chief dog walker for two adorable puppies.

I consider myself very lucky.  But it wasn’t just luck that enabled me to succeed on my terms. Focus, determination, hard work, sacrifices and the generous support of others were also required in large measures.

What I’ve learned is that there is no magic bullet and no one-size-fits-all approach. But I’m confident that if a woman like me from a small town in Pennsylvania can end up circling the globe, making a difference and being well compensated for doing so, you can too.

You’ll never get everything you want simultaneously, but with a little help, you can have the career and life of your dreams!

Perry and I met as peers in the same profession nearly 20 years ago. We bonded over shared experiences and traded stories and solutions. She remains a trusted confidante who has helped me think through a number of challenging work situations - some technical, others political. Clear-eyed, forthright and honest, Perry is true to herself and reminds me to be the same.

     - Kathy B., 51, Practice Chair, Global Communications Firm, Washington, D.C.

Perry and I met at Kraft in 2007. She was at the top of the food chain and I was closer to the bottom. Perry provided me with the perspective and guidance I needed to navigate my way through a $50BN company. Through our 1:1 discussions, she gave me the confidence to deliver and to ask for what I wanted which resulted in 3 promotions in 3 short years. Work was my only real responsibility at the time and I remember thinking, how does Perry have more energy than me!? Being in her presence is inspiring. Her dynamism is contagious. But what sets Perry apart is that she shows up engaged and curious. Her willingness to guide and mentor the next generation of leaders has been instrumental to my success.

     - Jessica M., 36, Global Procurement Leader, Fortune 100 Company, Chicago

Perry has been there, done that, and is still doing it. Over more than three decades, I’ve witnessed Perry’s drive and determination to advance her career in both the corporate and agency worlds.  She has the unique skills to be both a dynamic presenter and an intense, active listener. Perry's varied experiences enable her to coach women at any level. It can be as simple as what to wear to the more "complicated and delicate" subjects of how to handle people. And everything in between. Her thoughts/opinions/advise are solid, well thought out, time tested, and respected by many.  She is a trusted advisor.

     - Sue B., 55, Nuclear Engineer, Annapolis

Compared with men, women are notoriously opportunistic and reticent in the way they approach their career progression.  Throughout her own career Perry has defied this norm: demonstrating courage, resilience and a long-term outlook that has taken her to the top.   She is passionate about women reaching their full potential, so any woman seeking her counsel is in very good hands

     - Mel L., Philadelphia

Perry will inspire and guide you to open the door to your true, untapped, potential. Her expert advice and contagious dynamism empower you to become the best that you can be and to take on opportunities according to the value you bring to an employer.  You will feel “light”, inspired, and unstoppable after talking to Perry.  She is a true powerhouse.

     - Belisa D., 48, Director, Latin America, NGO, Washington, DC

Just one hour on the phone with Perry gave me more actionable insights and inspiration than I'd received through years with other coaches. It's her straight forward, "been there, done-that" approach, paired with her unmistakable combination of intellect and spot-on instinct that sets her apart. She gave me clear strategies for what to do next, reinforced my thinking and boosted my confidence - all in an hour. I truly feel lucky to have met her. She's one awesome, savvy business woman. Hire her...now.

     - Samantha P., 41, CMO, Tech Company, LA

I’ve known Perry for decades and can say without hesitation there is no one better suited to help guide ambitious professionals. Whenever I need advice on how to handle a particularly vexing professional or personal situation, I look to Perry.  She is always spot on, whether sharing concrete examples of similar situations or just prodding me to think in new ways. There are few people with her level of success who share their knowledge so expertly and perceptively. Add her flawless moral and ethical compass and you’ve got a winner on your team.

     - Sue K., 52, Sr PR Manager, US Government, Washington DC

Perry was my boss earlier in my career. She was also an important mentor and coach. Many years and several jobs later, she remains my go-to person when I need smart, sound professional guidance. The lessons she taught me still resonate (in fact, I quoted one of them today). Whatever career challenges you face, Perry has been there, done that.  I would highly recommend her to anyone thinking about what’s next in their journey.

Perry is a force to be reckoned with and someone I wish I could be mentored by on a daily basis. She is the kind of woman leader I am eager to work for - not only because of what she herself has achieved but because she also takes the time to mentor and ensure that up-and-coming women behind her are preparing themselves for positions of leadership. Her direct and open style have helped me better understand the kinds of positions I would excel at.

     - Bulbul G., Age 38, Social Innovation Consultant, NYC

I transitioned from the non-profit world to the private sector and had the amazing opportunity to work with Perry. She is first and foremost a great listener, which makes her leadership feel more authentic and genuine than many other senior leaders I've worked with (men and women alike). Through Perry's infinite experience, openness, and candid feedback, I learned how to become a more effective communicator, how to stand firm in what I believe, and how to be a better businesswoman overall.
